What is Physical Therapy?The Company Car

Physical Therapy is a highly interactive non-operative form of hands-on treatment designed to speed recovery from an injury, correct movement dysfunction, restore function and prevent reoccurrence.

Do I need a referral to come in for treatment?

In the state of Wisconsin you can directly access your physical therapist for an appointment. In other words, while referrals are always welcome and appreciated, they are usually not required. Any concerns identified by your therapist that may fall outside the scope of PT practice would prompt a consultation with your physician.

Will my insurance cover PT?

In most cases, yes. MSPT is a preferred provider for many third party payers. We can assist you in verifying eligibility for benefits using information that is typically found on the back of your insurance card.

What is an O.C.S?

A Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (O.C.S.) has demonstrated competence in both specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency. He/she has fulfilled a minimum number of hours in Orthopedics and successfully completed a rigorous examination through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).
